The beach within the cove of the port of Sifnos is more than 1500 meters long and sandy. It is situated in front of the homonymous settlement, just beside the port and at a distance of some 6 kilometers northwestern to Apollonia.
The beach offers many alternatives for accommodation, eating and amusement to the visitor, and all facilities necessary for tourists. It is a well organized beach which has been awarded a blue flag several times. The sea is pretty shallow, which makes the beach ideal for families with small children.
In case of emergence you should address to the corresponding services of the capital Apollonia, some 6 kilometers southeastern to Kamares.
Access to the beach from the settlement o the port is easy, even on foot. From Apollonia you may get to the beach by public buses, with frequent service, by taxi and by rented or private car and motorbikes.
The small sandy beach of Herronissos is situated at the very northern part of the island, within a quite protected cove, beside the homonymous fishermen village, at a distance of 15 kilometers northwestern to Apollonia. The beach is some 200 meters long and apart from the wonderful sea and the sand, you will also enjoy an unforgettable environment of wild beauty.
Only a few accommodation facilities are available at the place, but you will enjoy a quiet swimming and a nice meal by the sea. The sea is shallow, which makes it suitable for families with small children.
In case of emergence you may address to the corresponding services of Apollonia, 15 kilometers far away to the Southeast.
Access to the beach from Kamares or Apollonia is possible by rented or private car and motorbikes.
